Tim inserted the keycard into the slot, pulling it out with a practiced speed, and heard the soft click as the electronic lock shifted inside its mechanism. He pushed the door open, noting it’s unusual heavy weight for hotel doors (at least the hotels that he had put himself up in previously), and dragged himself, along with his carry-on through the door frame. The lights came on automatically, without any interference.

Huh. Motion-sensor. Neat.

Tim placed the keycard on the table, then flopped himself on the bed. It had only been a day - albeit one that started last night while being rather drunk - and he was already exhausted. He contemplated taking out his laptop and reviewing the slides again, but his brain protested, demanding some respite. Viktoria’s voice sounded again in his mind with her advice.

“I’ve looked at your work.” “You’ll do perfect.” “It’s the other things that I’ll need to convince them of.”

I was told to bring it to you as you might need it soon enough.” The young lad lifted up a coat bag, and Tim recognised the logo emblazoned fashionably on the front as the one that belonged to the tailor they had visited earlier. He was impressed - that was quick service indeed.

Tim fished out a ten from his wallet, then thought better of it and pulled a twenty, handing both notes to the bellboy, whose eyes lit up in deep appreciation. He bowed courteously and thanked Tim, who smiled, and wished him a good evening in return. Just as he was about to close the door, the bellboy interrupted.

“Oh, and sir; madame had a look at it before I brought it here. She said to tell you she’d also left something else inside for you.”

Tim nodded, thanking him once again, and closed the door as the bellboy walked away, quite happy with the generous tip he had received. Tim hung the coat bag up on a hook, and unzipped it, pulling out the suit and pants to try it on. The workmanship was impeccable indeed, and it even smelled like it had gone through a steam cleaning. The shirts and suit needed no pressing, and looked crisp, and as Tim wore the
